Simplest Reason Why God Does Not Exist

Modern religions are so-called “Scriptural Religions” – that is to say – depend on a written text of some kind as “holy scriptures” by which man is to know God.  They are said to have been “revealed” religions, where “God revealed” himself, his path, his law, his truth, his orders…

The problem with this is: if nobody could read and write, how would the believer of the present know about this God?  What verse of what scripture would you look up to argue a point?

God cannot be an eternal all powerful being who is dependent on the technology of writing.  Because that makes him as real as Flash Gordon or any other character of literature.
